Hello, if someone were to spend only one day riding the Katy what portion would you recommend? We would like something scenic with other nearby, interesting attractions and also near a nice B & B.
thanks so much!

Interesting is dependent on each individual. What is interesting to you may not be to others, so its kinda difficult to tell you what is interesting. I could care less about a prison tour in Jefferson City. No interest there at all. Maybe it is to you. I find the German culture in the Hermann area to very interesting. I have German blood in me though. You may despise anything German. Some of the best B&B's in the state are in Hermann also.

Use this site to discover those attractions that are of interest to you. You'll know them when you see em.

There are massive scenic bluffs east of Rocheport. Bluffton, west of Hermann, is aptly named.

The area between Marthasville, Augusta, and Defiance has a lot of nice scenery, places to eat, places to stay, wineries, etc. Many are right on or very close to the trail (Augusta Brewing, Defiance Ridge Winery, the Tavern and Roadhouse in Defiance). It's fun to ride from one great spot to another, rather than just riding to a nice destination like Hermann. It depends on how far you want to ride.
