My sons and I are planning a trip in 05 from Clinton to Machens(if the 3 miles that are in dispute by the property owners is resolved in 05, if not then to St Charles) Clinton is probably the most lovely and friendly little town that you will encounter on the trail! Everything that you will ever need is there, and the people are so nice! If you know someone that is a member of the local elks lodge, have them take you into their club! You will have the time of your life! I am looking forward to the trip! Have always wanted to do it, and Im lucky enough that one of my son's Father and Mother in laws lives in Clinton, so we have a place to stay the night before our departure!
