Wayne, what I do is park in Frontier Park in the City of St. Charles. However, you have to call the City of St. Charles police department to give them your automobile info, dates you will be there, etc. I usually tell them that I am parking on the parking lot right behind Country Inn & Suites Hotel in St. Charles as that borders on the trail. That lot could flood during a very severe flood from the Missouri River, so that is something else you may want to keep in mind.
