Hello! I am wanting to plan an extended weekend trip near the beginning of june and I have no idea where to start. I'm wanting to leave Arkansas and arrive in MO via amtrack. Besides that, I'm clueless! Lol please help!

If you're coming on Amtrack you may want to start in Jefferson City. It's just about in the middle of the trail and the Amtrack station is a fairly easy ride to the trailhead. From the Jeff City trailhead the ride West to Rocheport is around 35 miles and has some of the best scenery on the trail. Boonville is another 13 miles or so. Another option would be to get off Amtrak in Hermann and ride East. There are several Wineries on or close to the trail within 50 miles or so of Hermann.
