I've been reading through these comments, and I just want to thank all of the locals for being so nice to us out-of-state riders! My brother, dad, and I are planning a ride on the Katy in July, and we're thrilled about it. We've done some long distance riding before-- about 450 miles on the Mississippi River Trail (which is actually more of a route than a trail), and then a good jaunt on Paul Bunyan in Northern Minnesota. We met some great people as we progressed south on the Mississippi River, and I am sure there will be more to come in Missouri! Thanks everyone. See you on the trail.
