cell phone reception

How is the cell phone reception on the trail? We rode the C & O Towpath Trail last summer and were caught off guard at the almost total lack of cell reception and would like to be better prepared for our Katy ride. Thanks!

I've been over the whole trail and haven't had any problem with the reception. I haven't made or received calls at all places, but many of them.

Depends on your carrier. I rode the C & O last year and had really bad service until I got near DC. I use Sprint and my service is spotty on the Katy but better than the C & O.

We use AT&T and have never had an issue on the trail with poor reception. Our rides are between Sedalia and Trelor.

we have att / cingular wireless also and have never had a problem.
