Just west of the McKittrick trailhead is a tunnel that goes underneath highway 19. Highway 19 southbound will take you to Hermann. On the east side of the tunnel is a pathway in the grass to the highway. That is what we do, or you can go east of the trailhead and back south to hook onto highway 94 which leads to 19. Click on McKittrick in the map above for a detailed map of the trailhead area.
