Hello,

I Rode the Rock Island trail to the end of SW Jefferson Street in Lee Summit and it looks like a new section of the trail has been completed however it was not open. It appears to go under and beyond the 291 overpass. Anyone know how far the new section goes from SW Jefferson street?

Also, The Rock Island forum site didn't mention anything about the Ted and Pat Jones bridge being completed at the Pleasant Hill trail head and the ribbon cutting on 10/3/2026 Or did it?

from Jackson Co Parks Phase 1 of the Greenwood Connector extends the trail from Jefferson to Hamblin Rd and be completed 2026.

The Rock Island Connector to the south section of the Little Blue Trace is open. It adds a 6 mi loop from the Brickyard Rd under MO-350
