I stayed 2 nights this week at Joey's while biking the Katy, and it was a great choice. Comfortable, so convenient to the McKittrick trailhead. Joey is friendly and welcoming, and breakfast both mornings was homemade and excellent. I also enjoyed getting to know other guests over breakfast together.

The Bird House is convenient to the trail and a clean and comfortable accommodation. Bikers should know that nearby dining is limited to a grocery store deli. Joey is a welcoming hostess, an interesting person, and a talented artist and gardener. Breakfast is special, including eggs gathered from her chickens, fresh biscuits, garden vegetables and lots of other treats.

It’s an under 3 mile easy ride into Hermann with several dining options.
