Just starting to plan a trip for this year and wondering if a pedal assist e-bike, Salsa Tributary, is allowed on the trail and if there are places to charge.
Won’t be camping, I did that for 30 years as a Marine but lodging sounds great.
Not sure whether I’ll start in Clinton or near St Louis and then figure out how to get back to the other end once finished.

Hi Nick, the Katy Trail pamphlet I got at one of the trailheads along the route states: "Electric assisted pedal bicycles and tricycles with a maximum speed of 20 M.P.H. ARE allowed on the Katy Trail. And along with that lil tidbit of info, I am seeking riders to join me for a six day ride that will pass through
the little town of Hartsburg on the 2nd Saturday in October. I hope you will condider joining me (and others) for that time period. (See my post from June 26, with the title/name of Dogbert.
P.S. I tried once already to reply to your post, but did not see it below your original post from June 28
