I just looked at the Agenda for Public Works' meeting this Monday and it includes this----
AN ORDINANCE appropriating $950,000.00 from the undesignated
fund balance of the 2025 Grant Fund and awarding a contract for the
furnishing of construction services to Terry Snelling of Independence, MO for the Rock Island Trail Greenwood Connector, under the terms
and conditions of Invitation to Bid No. 25-034 at a cost to the County not to exceed $1,914,489.00.
I hadn't heard anything about this portion of the trail for awhile now and hope this is good news about getting a portion finished between Pleasant Hill and Lee's Summit.
