Highly encourage anyone staying here to plan your route in advance. Hotel is not 3 miles from trail. At best it is better than 5 miles. Google Maps sent me on a 10 mile tour of the community.
Hotel is quite noisy with guests. Laundry facilities a plus.

The best way to get to the Washington Best Western is after entering town on the Hwy 47 bridge, stay on 47 until 3rd St, then turn left (east) and follow 3rd St east until it loops south and joins with 5th St. You could actually turn south on any street along 3rd and intersect with 5th. It's a great run until the last half mile or so; quite a hill up to the Best Western. It's a busy hotel but is bike-friendly (at least it was) and was a great place to stay. The only drawback is that it's pretty far from the Amtrak Station and some pretty good places to eat. There are places to stay closer to the Amtrak Station (west on 3rd until Elm, then turn right (north) to Front St. It would be nice to be able to intersect with the Riverfront Trail from the bridge, but there doesn't seem to be a good way to do that.
