My first trip and first time riding the KT, as I have it planned out I'm landing in N. Jefferson as the end of one of my days, wondering what camping options are around there? Or do I need to go a bit further or stop a bit sooner for camping. Thank you

Depends on which direction you are going, if coming in from the west go about 10 miles more to Tebbetts and check into lodging at the Turner Shelter. If coming in from the east stop at the Turner Shelter in Tebbetts before you get to North Jefferson City. You could also go into Jefferson City and get a hotel or motel room.

The camp sites at the Noren Access in North Jefferson have been closed. It had become a homeless encampment. No word on when/if they plan to reopen them.
